Surgery

Desexing, Spey, Castration, Lump Removals, Wound Care, Eyelid Surgery

Our surgical services at Springwood Veterinary Clinic cover a wide range of procedures to address your pet’s health needs, from routine operations to more complex interventions. We prioritise your pet’s safety and comfort with thorough pre-surgical assessments, modern anaesthesia monitoring, and detailed aftercare instructions to ensure a smooth recovery. Whether it’s a lump removal, wound repair, or exploratory surgery, our experienced team works closely with you every step of the way.

Desexing (spey/castrate): Desexing is one of the most common and beneficial procedures we perform, helping to prevent unwanted litters, reduce certain cancer risks, and improve behaviour in many cases. We tailor the timing and approach to your pet’s age, breed, and health, with comprehensive pain management and follow-up care to get them back to normal quickly. The advice differs for cats vs dogs. A price list for desexing can be found here.
